Homemade Hot Fudge
Makes about 1 ½ cups
Time: 5 minutes
1 cup finely chopped semi-sweet chocolate or mini chocolate chips
½ cup heavy whipping cream
- Place the chocolate in a medium-sized, heat-proof mixing bowl. In a small saucepan, heat the cream over medium-low heat until it just begins to steam; do not let it come to a full boil, or the fat will begin to separate.
- Pour the hot cream over the chopped chocolate and allow to sit for about 1 minute. Whisk or stir vigorously with a spoon until the cream and chocolate come together in a smooth, fudgy sauce. Refrigerate leftovers and reheat in the microwave for a couple minutes, stirring every 30 seconds.
