Fly designer and fly fishing guide Juan Ramirez, is one of Southern Colorado’s most prominent anglers. On the river, Juan guides a range of clients for an ultimate Colorado fishing experience. On the fly tying vice, his designs have gained national recognition, and his hands-on instructional videos keep anglers tying and casting what the trout are hungry for.
Brianna Michael McGrew is a talented jeweler and a Colorado girl with a wanderer’s heart. Brianna works out of her apartment in the Springs, which in itself is a well-curated work of art. Polaroid photographs with friends litter the walls, her work station is filled with odds and ends, torches and tools and sketches of future and current designs.
Liz Rosenbaum owns and operates Her Story Cafe, located at Library 21c, the newest branch of Pikes Peak Library District. Patrons browse for books, and families shuffle by for story time, as the faint sound of hissing lattes plays in the background. Rosenbaum considers herself a culinary anthropologist—someone who loves both food and history.
